Program dates and application deadlines

Summer 2026 program dates: Monday, June 8th - Friday, July 24th
Application deadlines:

  • Friday, January 16, 2026 - Priority deadline, decision by Friday, February 13th
  • Monday, February 15th, 2026 - Decision by Friday, March 13th
  • Monday, March 16th - Decision by Monday, March 30th

Program eligibility

To be eligible for the NSF-RET program, you must

  • Be a US citizen, US national, or permanent resident
  • Be a high school teacher offering STEM courses.
  • Complete this online application by providing supporting documents and a letter of recommendation.

Although we invite individual teachers to apply, we also encourage multiple teachers from the same school/school district to apply, in the interest of allowing them to work together post-summer.
