Program dates and application deadlines
Summer 2024 program dates: June 3 – August 9, 2024
Application deadline: March 1, 2024
Decision notification: April 2024 (Notification letters will be sent out to applicants.)
Program eligibility
To be eligible for the NSF-REU program, you must
- Be enrolled as a full-time student in a STEM program at least for August 2024.
- Be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher in your current institution by January 2024.
Students from underrepresented minority groups, women and first-generation college students are especially encouraged to apply.
Application information
To complete the 2024 REU application, you must fill out the Application Form using NSF-ETAP. The process will include:
- Personal Statement
- CV/Resume
- Transcripts
- One Letter of Reference
- Research topic selection
