Exploring the power of computational science through computer vision

Upward Bound students get first-hand experience in our sixth annual summer workshop for high-performance computing taught by University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire staff volunteers. The Blugold Center for High-Performance Computing is collaborating with UW-Eau Claire’s Upward Bound program to share techniques used to process large amounts of data and perform complex calculations at high speed. This year's workshop was reworked to focus all around hands-on group activities and showcasing computer vision.

Workshop Schedule

The workshop this year will be held in a single active learning classroom for the entire day, where students are broken up into groups. Please bring your laptops / Chromebooks for hands-on activities.

Presentation Room:

Friday, June 26th

The below schedule is tentative and may shift slightly depending on how long each activity runs.
